While I’ve been back in NYC for a week now, I’m going to be in Cali for the foreseeable future here on the blog. Hope that’s okay 😉
I knew before I even reached out to my photographer Katie that I wanted to shoot in front of this fabulous pink wall at the Paul Smith store in West Hollywood. It’s literally the most perfect shade of bubblegum pink – why can’t there be some walls in NYC like this?! Anyways, here’s an insider tip if you ever want to shoot here too – they don’t allow professional cameras at the big wall on the side of the store. They consider this wall to be a work of art (insert eye rolling emoji here), and therefore only allow iPhone photos to be taken there. The wall does extend to the front of the building, which is public property, so we were able to snap these shots there. But the space was much more limited. I’m not sure how, but I’ve definitely seen other bloggers shoot at the big side wall. I would advise you to go without ANY bags, because they will single you out if you look like a blogger with outfit changes, and go with someone you know can get your all your shots in 30 quick takes or less (yes, this can definitely be done!). They actually do enforce this rule and will definitely come out and say something to you if they see you with a camera, but if you love pink, it’s worth the risk!
This lemon print top was one of my favorite pieces from my trip. I got so many compliments on it no matter how I styled it. Whether it was with jean shorts or white jeans, this top added the perfect amount of punch to my look. It also comes in this fun orange print! Citrus prints are going to big again this summer – oranges, lemons, pineapples, etc. Give me all the fruits!
What do you guys think about citrus print pieces? Yay or nay?
